The road to a C3 championship is heading to Spartanburg.
From November 19 through November 22, C3 Esports will bring its postseason competition to USC Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina for a four-day Playoff LAN featuring Rocket League, Overwatch, and Valorant.
The event will take place during the C3 Carolina Esports Festival, bringing C3’s three competitive titles together in one location for the biggest weekend of the season.
After weeks of regular-season competition, only the top eight qualified teams from each title will earn the opportunity to continue their championship run in person.
Twenty-four teams. Three games. One championship weekend.
The Top Eight Head to Spartanburg
Throughout the season, teams across the Carolinas will be fighting for more than positioning in the standings.
They will be fighting for a place at USC Upstate.
The top eight qualified teams in Rocket League, Overwatch, and Valorant will advance to the Playoff LAN, where online competition gives way to four days of in-person postseason play.
For some programs, simply reaching Spartanburg will represent another step forward.
For others, qualification will only be the beginning.
Once teams arrive on campus, the goal becomes simple: survive the bracket and leave as a C3 champion.
The LAN gives players the opportunity to compete face-to-face against the teams they have spent the season battling online, bringing another level of pressure to every series.
There are no ordinary matches left once the postseason begins.
Every win moves a team closer to the trophy.
Every loss brings the season closer to an end.
Three Titles, One Championship Weekend
This year’s playoff weekend will also represent another major step in C3’s expansion.
Rocket League has long served as the foundation of C3 competition, producing championship runs, rivalries, and memorable moments throughout the league’s history.
Now, Rocket League will share the postseason stage with Overwatch and Valorant.
Both titles joined the C3 competitive lineup as part of the league’s expansion into additional esports, and November will give those communities the opportunity to compete for their championships on LAN.
For Rocket League, Spartanburg is another chapter in an established championship history.
For Overwatch and Valorant, it is an opportunity to begin creating their own.
By the end of the weekend, three teams will have separated themselves from the rest of the field.
USC Upstate Hosts the Championship Stage
USC Upstate and its esports program will serve as the host for the four-day event, bringing C3 competition to Spartanburg for the season’s final stretch.
The partnership provides a collegiate setting for a weekend built around the players and programs that make up Carolina esports.
Rather than simply concluding the season online, qualified teams will have the opportunity to travel, represent their schools in person, meet the opponents they have competed against throughout the year, and experience the postseason together.
That is also the idea behind the larger C3 Carolina Esports Festival.
The weekend is designed to bring Carolina collegiate esports into one place—not only for competition, but for the community surrounding it.
Where Champions Are Crowned
Getting to Spartanburg will not be easy.
Teams first have to earn their place among the top eight in their title.
From there, everything comes down to four days.
One weekend can turn a strong season into a championship season.
One series can end months of work.
And one final match will decide who leaves USC Upstate at the top of Carolina collegiate esports.
From November 19–22, the regular season will be over.
The standings will have done their job.
The field will be set.
Then it will be time to determine who finishes the season on top.
