C3 Esports Platform Updates | October 2026

C3 Esports has been implementing a series of improvements across its website and Discord Bot to make league operations more accessible, improve communication, and provide players, Captains, and team managers with better tools throughout the Fall 2026 Season.

Below is an overview of the latest changes.

General Updates

Improved League Communications

C3 Esports has expanded the way official league information is organized and distributed.Rather than relying exclusively on Discord messages, important information now has dedicated locations on the C3 Esports website.
These include:
  • Official Announcements: Important league news, deadlines, and general announcements.
  • Competitive Rulings: Official rulings, disciplinary decisions, and competitive clarifications.
  • Frequently Asked Questions: Answers to common questions regarding league operations, registrations, and policies.
  • System Updates: Changes involving the C3 website, Discord Bot, and league software.
These information sections are designed to help participating schools and players quickly locate official information and reference it when needed.

More Organized Discord Communications

C3 Esports has also expanded its Discord publishing capabilities, allowing official information to be distributed into designated channels according to its purpose.
This helps separate important league announcements from competitive decisions, technical updates, and informational resources.
Our goal is to reduce unnecessary clutter and make official communication easier for everyone to follow.

Website Updates

Official Announcements & Competitive Rulings

Two dedicated sections have been introduced to the C3 Esports website.

Official Announcements

A central location for important league announcements, event information, registration notices, and other official communications.
Recent announcements can also be displayed on the website homepage.

Competitive Rulings

A dedicated public archive for official league decisions, disciplinary rulings, and competitive clarifications.
This provides teams with a consistent location to review published decisions rather than searching through previous Discord conversations.

Improved FAQ Center

The FAQ Center has been redesigned to make it easier for teams and players to find answers to common questions.

Improvements include:

  • Two-column category layout on desktop.
  • Collapsible FAQ categories to reduce page clutter.
  • Individual expandable questions and answers.
  • Search functionality for locating relevant information.
  • Improved mobile layout.
  • Better text visibility across website themes.
Each category can be expanded independently, allowing visitors to focus on the information relevant to them.

Featured FAQs

Frequently asked questions can also be highlighted directly on the homepage beneath the Recent Results section.
This provides quick access to information that players and Captains commonly need throughout the season.

Several visual improvements have also been made throughout the website.

These include:

  • Improved FAQ readability across Light, Graphite, and Dark themes.
  • Better alignment of navigation dropdown labels and arrows.
  • Fixed-position advertising panels along the sides of the website.
  • More organized content presentation on informational pages.
  • Responsive layouts for desktop and mobile visitors.
These changes are intended to improve consistency and readability while preserving the website's existing functionality.

Discord Bot Updates

Expanded Captain Check-In Permissions

The C3 Esports Discord Bot has received improvements to its Captain permission system.
Designated Captains can check in their entire team for official C3 matches, helping simplify the match preparation process.
Captains can also complete their team's Finish Match confirmation when the appropriate stage becomes available.

These permissions are intended to reduce the number of individual actions required during match operations.

Introducing Captain (Substitute)

A new Captain (Substitute) roster position has been introduced.
Previously, the Captain designation was tied to a starting roster position.
The new role allows a designated Captain to occupy a substitute roster slot while retaining their Captain permissions.

A Captain (Substitute) can:

  • Retain Captain authority for their team.
  • Complete team check-ins.
  • Confirm the team's Finish Match stage.
  • Occupy a substitute position instead of a starting position.

Captain (Substitute) players remain subject to the applicable roster limits and one-Captain-per-team restriction.

This provides additional flexibility for teams whose designated Captain may not always be part of the starting lineup.

Official Discord Publishing

The Discord Bot now supports expanded communication tools for distributing official league information from the C3 website.

Supported information types include:

  • Official Announcements
  • Competitive Rulings
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • System Updates

Information can be directed to designated Discord channels, helping keep each category of communication organized.

Improved Announcement Management

Official information sent through the publishing system can be updated through the website.
When an existing Discord message is updated, the system can edit that message rather than creating unnecessary duplicate posts.
This makes it easier for teams to reference the most current version of official league communications.

Moving Forward

These improvements are part of C3 Esports' continued effort to build a more organized and accessible collegiate esports experience.
As the league continues expanding across Rocket League, Valorant, and Overwatch, we want our digital systems to provide teams with reliable access to information, simpler match operations, and clearer communication.
Additional improvements and future releases will continue to be shared through the official C3 Esports website and Discord server.
